Edenred Bulgaria Raised Over EUR 27,000 Through the Charity Event Edenred RUN 2026 in Sofia and Plovdiv

The corporate charity relay race, Edenred RUN 2026, brought together businesses in Sofia and Plovdiv and raised more than EUR 27,000 for the Tsaritsa Yoanna – ISUL University Hospital in Sofia.

On 17 June, the annual charity race Edenred RUN took place in Borisova Gradina, Sofia, bringing together more than 105 teams from 56 companies and nearly 500 participants, including children who joined the kids’ race.

For the first time, the initiative expanded beyond the capital city. On 18 June, a charity run organized by Reward Gateway Bulgaria (part of Edenred) was held at Lauta Park in Plovdiv, where participants joined the effort to support the same cause.

Thanks to the generosity of all participants and donors, the events in both cities raised over EUR 27,000, all of which will be donated.

Edenred RUN remains the only corporate running event in Bulgaria that donates 100% of the funds raised.

Funds Raised for the Cause

The team at Edenred Bulgaria, together with its clients, partners, and employees, raised a total of EUR 27,516.17 for ISUL Hospital:

• Participation fees collected via bank transfer (Sofia and Plovdiv events): EUR 25,400 (excluding VAT)
• Cash donations collected during the Sofia event: EUR 486
• Funds redirected from the 2025 edition: EUR 3,630.17
  • EUR 1,630.17 (excluding VAT) donated to ISUL Hospital
  • EUR 2,000 (excluding VAT) donated to the 5KM RUN cause for the purchase of a laparoscopic morcellator, modern medical equipment for minimally invasive gynecological procedures at the Gynecology Clinic of Maichin Dom Hospital

The Cause Behind Edenred RUN 2026 – Part of a Larger Project

100% of the funds raised will be donated to support the renovation of the First ENT Department – Head and Neck Surgery at Tsaritsa Yoanna – ISUL University Hospital, Sofia.

The initiative is carried out in partnership with the French-Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and is a part of a larger fundraising campaign aiming to raise more than EUR 250,000 for the complete renovation of the department.

The First ENT Department at ISUL is the oldest and largest of its kind in Bulgaria. It treats patients with serious conditions, including head and neck cancers, and performs more than 80% of such surgeries nationwide. Despite its high level of medical expertise, the department’s facilities require significant renovation, as the current infrastructure no longer adequately meets the needs of patients and healthcare professionals.
