Edenred Bulgaria joined a donation to Pirogov's Pediatric Surgery Clinic

Edenred Bulgaria added BGN 7 069.40 to the funds raised from 5KM Run for Pirogov's Pediatric Surgery Clinic

On July 30 the surgical instrument, purchased with the funds raised from the charity campaign of 5KM Run, which included Edenred Bulgaria, were officially donated  to the Children's Clinic of Pirogov.

The charity relay race of Edenred Bulgaria - Edenred RUN 2021 added BGN 7,069.40 to the funds raised by the charity campaign of 5KM Run for 2021. The total amount of BGN 26,104.85 was collected. On 12.07 the funds were donated for the purchase of surgical instruments for the Clinic in pediatric surgery of Pirogov.

The Pediatric Surgery Clinic is the largest specialized unit in Bulgaria, performing the entire volume of diagnostic and surgical activities in the field of pediatric surgery. The Clinic has 55 beds in several compartments. The Clinic diagnoses and treats all pediatric surgical diseases for patients from 0 to 18 years of age from all over the country.

According to Hristo Shivachev, Head of the Pediatric Surgery Clinic at the largest emergency hospital in Bulgaria, shared in front of 5KM Run: „The surgical instrument is an extension of the surgeon's hand. It is the fulfillment of his thought and will, which are always dedicated to the rapid and successful recovery of the little patient. The tools in Pirogov have not been replaced for years! Newborn instruments must meet the highest requirements for tenderness, precision and reliability, because in newborn babies everything is so fine and gentle that it does not tolerate unnecessary force and roughness“.

Edenred Bulgaria embraced the cause of 5KM Run for modernization of equipment in the  Pediatric Surgery Clinic of Pirogov. That is why we organized a charity relay race for our clients and partners - Edenred RUN 2021, which took place on 16.06 in Borisova Garden in Sofia. The interest this year was very high, as the event gathered 232 participants from 23 companies from different business sectors, who ran 700 km in support of the charity. The entire amount collected from the participation fees was donated to the cause.

As a responsible company, donation is extremely important and is among the core values of Edenred Bulgaria. Every year we choose causes and projects with social orientation to support. That is why we are extremely happy and grateful that our employees, customers and partners responded and joined willingly in this year's charity campaign.
